Healix International, the Group's global travel risk management business, is growing fast and we would like to invest in expanding our HQ in order to accommodate more than 150 new staff. The addition of 150 new colleagues to our existing 200 strong workforce would of course help to boost trade for high street shops and to support the local economy.
The proposals that you see today will replace the Lloyds Bank building on the corner of Esher Green and the two neighbouring shops on the High Street to provide a new office extension and shop units as well as significant improvements to the street scene.
Please let us know what you think of the proposals. We would encourage you to complete the 'Have Your Say' form which is one of the tabs on this website. Comments that you make will form part of our exhibition report that will accompany the planning application.
The Healix story
Healix Group is an international medical risk management company and we have been based in our headquarters building on Esher Green since 2011. First established in 1992 as a medical repatriation business by two doctors with a team of just three, we now employ over 200 staff and are rapidly expanding overseas with offices in New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Greece, Singapore, Kenya and the USA. The company is privately owned and is still run with a passion by Dr Peter Mason and Dr Paul Beven.
What does Healix do?
Our core activities are international medical, security and travel assistance; UK healthcare administration services; automated medical risk assessment solutions; and insurance underwriting and intermediation services.
Our clients include UK and multinational companies, insurers, governments and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs). For example, we look after the healthcare needs of British Government employees working overseas and provide international assistance services for employees working for NGOs such as Oxfam and the British Red Cross, as well as providing services for many household company names.
Despite the company's rapid growth, Healix has remained true to its core values of service excellence, product innovation, flexibility and professionalism. Our repeated 'Best Companies to Work For' accreditation reflects the investment in our staff with the company also featuring in the UK government's 'GREAT British Business' campaign as an example of a great British business offering flexible working practices to its staff.
